I'm excited to share some significant news regarding our community's future and Sprout IQ's role in it. The United Way Hastings & Prince Edward (UWHPE) recently launched its 2025 campaign with an inspiring and ambitious three-year goal: to achieve an annual fundraising target of $3 million by 2028. This isn't just about numbers; it's a bold commitment to strengthening the vital support systems our Quinte region relies on.
As a member of this year's campaign cabinet, I'm incredibly proud to represent Sprout IQ in this crucial endeavour. Brandi Hodge, UWHPE's Executive Director, detailed the plan, which begins with a $2.4 million goal for 2025. This incremental growth is essential for sustaining and expanding the 40 agencies and 48 programs that provide critical services across Hastings & Prince Edward – from ensuring access to food and shelter to delivering mental health support, quality childcare, and invaluable mentorship opportunities.
Leading this year's campaign are the dynamic chairs, Victor and Jodi Cooper, whose passion and leadership are truly infectious. Victor aptly noted, "Our strength is in the team around us... With their energy and passion, we know this ambitious goal is within reach." I've already witnessed the collaborative spirit among the diverse cabinet members, and it's clear that this collective dedication will be key to our success.

Being part of this cabinet allows me to directly contribute to building a more resilient and supportive community.
